在2016年被診斷為二型糖尿病 (T2D),並不驚訝,因為家庭成員也有糖尿病的傾向。200斤的體重,所以被被確診只是時間問題。
開始用二甲雙胍metformin,A1c是波動的,有時9有時7,但從來沒有低於7。半年後然後再增加另外一種藥和劑量。這時認為T2D是慢性病,唯一的辦法就是吃藥,並到要做好併發症的心理準備。
人很少死於T2D,主要係併發症如癌症、心髒病、截肢失明等....,他們隻是告訴你要做好準備,但似乎沒有人知道出路。
1年後在朋友的推薦下,我去看了另一個醫生。第一次有人提議我改變飲食習慣,因為我不是重體力勞動者。從減少晚餐的碳水化合物開始,我進入了低碳水化合物的新時代。
然後我開始大量爬文,視頻書籍和文獻。我最喜歡的一些專家例如Dr. Berg,Dr. Jason Fung,Dr.Sten Ekberg。從而開始知道代謝症候群的根本原因,並看到黑暗盡頭的光明。
通過低碳水化合物飲食和間歇性斷食,我的體重減少了20公斤,並且兩年來我的A1C一直保持在6以下^^。
現代人已經被加工食品和大量的糖和碳水化合物衝昏了頭腦,導致胰島素抵抗,這是體重增加和代謝症候群的根本原因。
專家有幾種,一種透過獲取專業資格的專家,另一種是靠經驗實踐的專家,雖我並非專家仍希望透過經驗分享將「低碳斷食好消息」傳比更多人

Starting with metformin the A1c is fluctuated sometimes 9 sometimes 7 but never go under 7. Then dosage increased with one more additional drug. At that time just think that T2D is chronic the only way is to take drug and get prepared for the complications.
People seldom died from T2D but the complication and comorbidity like cancer, heart disease, amputation blindness .... they just told you to get prepared but no one seems to know the way out.
1 year later with my friends recommendation, I went to see another medical doctor. The first time someone told me to change my diet as I am not a heavy lifting worker. Starting from cutting carbs in dinner I enter the new Era of low carbohydrates.
Then I start to google a lot, video books and literature. Some of my favorite experts : Dr. Berg, Dr. Jason Fung, Dr. Sten Ekberg. Now I start to know the root cause of my metabolic syndrome and see the light at the end of the tunnel.
With Low Carb diet and Intermittent Fasting, I shredded 20kg and remained my a1c under 6 for two years now ^^
Modern people has been flushed and overwhelm with processed food and loads of sugar and carbs which leads to Insulin resistance which is the root cause of weight gain and metabolic syndrome.
There are types of experts one is expert by credentials another is expert by experience, I think I am the later one.
